Mousses are made from a rubber foam and are designed to be inserted between the rim and the tyre instead of a classic inner tube.

Why use a mousse? Using our Mousses that are designed to match the internal measurements of a Plews tyre increases the performance of the tyres, but most importantly it is the only 100% way to guarantee that you will not get a puncture and be stuck on the trail, or not be able to finish your race.

All of our mousses are made in Europe, using a specialist compound designed by blending a ultra-high grade of natural rubber with nitrogen to give you that rubber foam finish that makes it “mousse” like.

Our mousses in standard form range between 0.7 – 1.1 bar in pressure while the extreme mousses range from 0.3 – 0.5 bar of pressure.

All mousses come packaged in an air tight bag to reduce shrinkage, as well as a package of mousse lubricant that should be applied before fitting.
